Track and field stars to visit Daegu for the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011

Usain Bolt

I saw the fastest man on the planet on the Daegu TV news yesterday wearing a T-shirt saying ‘I can cross it’. Yeah... he sure can. ;>

He got to Daegu Tuesday for the IAAF World Championships, with fewer than two weeks to go until the event kicks off.

I googled ‘Usain Bolt’ and found one of his fan pages. Click and know better about him ‘O’/à http://www.usainbolt.co.uk/

As all of you know, the World Championships will run from August 27th to September 4th.

All of below is content from the IAAF World Championships Dagu 2011's official blog à http://daegu2011.blogspot.com/

Currently, Usain Bolt is second to none in 100m and also has world record of 200m but other sprinters like Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell are not pushover.

Tyson Gay is the winner of IAAF World Championships Osaka 2007 with personal best record of 9.69 seconds and Asafa Powell also achieved world’s records twice before bolt’s appearance.

And unfortunately, US sprinter Tyson Gay will not compete at the world championships in Daegu because of a persistent hip injury.

Usain Bolt recently said in an interview that he doesn't expect to break any world records this season, but promises to go very fast at the IAAF World Championships this summer.

What will happen in men’s 100m?

Men’s 100m final will be held on Aug 28th 20:45. (
