Daegu’s Famous Bakeries

Daegu has many famous bakeries.

The very first bread factory called Su Hyeong Dang(수형당-秀亨堂) was found in 1946.

Daegu’s biggest bread brand Su Hyeong Dang churned out Daegu’s representative bakers before it pulled out business in 1982.

Samsong Bakery – 삼송베이커리

It opened 50 years ago, which makes it the oldest bakery in Daegu.

Its non-fried croquette is famous to Daegu citizens.

Choi Gane Cake – 최가네케익

Choi Gane Cake has been in Dongsungro for 10 years, certainly living up to its reputation as the best bakery in Daegu.

It has all kinds of cakes~

Introducing the brand new bread of Daegu~~~ Seo-gu Mat Bread!

Seo-gu(Daegu’s west district)’s 6 famous bakeries had prepared to create this special colorful bread for 3 years.

Dough -> strawberry, banana, grape, green tea, coffee, tapioca

Stuff -> red bean, walnut, chestnut, whipped cream

It has a texture half way between bread and Korean rice cake.
