Luckily, this year’s Korean Thanksgiving holidays fall into right days which presents us 10 days of a ”golden holiday” season! For us travel lovers, it’s a prime time to immerse ourselves to new adventures(or simply take a break from busy days)! Whether you plan to travel solo or in a group, we’ve got your back!
The following itineraries span a full day in Daegu that are carefully selected to give you the best and core experience of energetic Daegu! This type of one-day itinerary will follow next week, so you need to stay tuned! With that said, let’s get started!


1 SOLO TRAVEL
The beauty of solo travel lies in an opportunity to engage yourself with your mind and deeper thoughts! Exposing yourself to art, fine coffee and great food will surely serve that purpose.

Daegu Art Factory


The tour begins at Daegu Art Factory, conveniently located in the downtown. This art building started as a part of a governmental project to create and foster culture and creativity in the heart of city. Like you can imagine, the gallery space is full of contemporary and youth art that is daring and challenges your perception to view an idea and thought. Stroll along from a room to another and get your mind stimulated with this amazing collection of art!

Donseongro Café Street


When you start feeling hungry, let’s head over to Donseongro area! Grab a nice plate of brunch at its Café Street and have a fine cup of coffee. Daegu is known as the city of coffee and you will get to experience one of Korea’s finest coffee here. The sights, the smells, the sounds of hand drip coffee will definitely please you.

Cheongna Bus


Are you ready to going back on road? Just across from a street is where you can get on Cheongna Bus, a tour bus that takes you all the essential attractions in Jung-gu. When you start your Cheongna Bus tour at Gukchaebosang Memorial Park, it will take you to KimGwangSeok St, Bongsan Art Road, Cheongna Hill and finally Seomun Market! It is very convenient because you can pay for the ticket when you get on a bus. Just be at one of 8 stops, the bus will come 7 times a day. A ticket is a free-pass for one day! Stay at a spot as long as you want and skip an attraction if you’d like to.

Seomun Night Market


We are here at our final destination! After a full day of exploring, you need a nice treat of delicious food! Whether you want a nice meal or a handful of street snacks, you will find what you want here! There are also a number of stores and a tax-free shop, D-mall, where you can shop your souvenir. 82 Tower



When you are in a city, you need to leave your mark at its landmark! First off, we are going to start an exciting day at 83 Tower. You can decide to visit the tower or appreciate beautiful view from E-world or Duryu Park. If your group of friends is thrill seekers, get on roller coasters at E-world and capture a sight of 83 Tower upside down! Or, Duryu Park is a great alternative for those who like strolling and chilling while sharing good laughter. At either place, group pictures will look on spot!

Apsan Café Street
 

Not far from 82 Tower is located Apsan Café Street! This street is filled with various types of cafes as well as trendy restaurants. Fill your starving stomach and take a relaxing afternoon at a pretty café. If you still feel too energetic, get take-outs and fill your daily dose of caffeine while strolling along a path at the mountain. If you can’t make it this Chuseok, visit during cherry blossoms in late March to early April and ginkgo foliage in November! It will absolutely bring you stunning sights!

Apsan Observatory


Let’s keep the ball rolling! I know it’s hard to make a stop at a lively conversation with your friends! But, it’s time to experience stunning view of Daegu city!  Apsan Observatory is a great spot to do it and takes no effort when you take a cable car! I highly recommend you get there 30 min before sunset so you can take a view in daylight, during sunset and at dusk!

Anjirang Gopchang Town


Continuing the excitement form the observatory, let’s hit the “Gobchang Town” at Anjirang.
