3 Korean Style Coffee Shops in Daegu

Three Korean Style Coffee Shops in Daegu

Like we all know; Korea is a mecca when it comes to coffee shops – this is not different in Daegu! You’ll find a different coffee shop every second step you take! To help you choose among this overload of possibilities, I went on a quest to find the best ‘Korean Style’ coffee shop in downtown Daegu.

1. Percent 14-3

The percent coffee shop is located behind the small (but cozy) Gamyeong park. The coziest coffee shop I have seen so far! The owner spend one year preparing all the decoration before opening her shop.

Every single corner of the shop has a different theme, mixing westerns with Korean style. It is one of the coziest café I have ever seen.

Their menu is quite small, but the drinks are amazing. I tried the Chocolate Vienna, which is coffee with a layer of cream topped off with chocolate powder. Absolutely delicious.

The prices range between 4000 won and 6000 won.

Address: 92, Seoseong-ro 14-gil, Jung-gu, DaeguS

2. SangDae

Songdae is located in the medical street and focusses on selling different herbal teas. They also have a range of coffee but it is their specialty. The cute shop is really small, it only has two tables for people to sit at, but the tea is absolutely amazing.

On the wall you’ll see the explanation of what each tea is good for (in Korean only).

I’m a massive fan of Omija, so it’s a straightforward choice. Omija tea it is. The prices are very reasonable – between 2500 and 3500 won.

Address: 35, Dalgubeoldae-ro 415-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu

3. Dahyang

This shop is just down the street from Sangdae Coffee Shop, on the opposite side of the ‘The Herbal Medicine Museum’. A nice big entrance, with a cute little garden. The coffee shop sells a wide range of coffees, teas, juices, etc. With a lot of seats inside it’s a perfect place to come with a big group.

This time I tried the hot lemon and ginger tea and OMG! I love when there are little bits inside, it just makes the tea taste so much fresher. So that was a pleasant surprise. This shop is a little bit more pricy, starting around 4500 to 6000 won.
