Taeneung House 태능집



If you have watched Korean soap operas or talk shows, you probably recognize this type of restaurant that we call “pocha.” Koreans love to have a delightful food with soju or beer at a pocha while having a laugh-filled conversation with company.


Taeneung House is an also pocha type restaurant which serves briquette-grilled pork bulgogi. In fact, Bukseongro area is known for this bulgogi and udon combination. As you try to find this restaurants, you will see all different styles of pocha in the area!

Ms Jang’s Handmade Mandoo 장여사 나뭇잎 손만두



Bunsik is a very popular type of Korean food that refers to Korean food or snack that you can easily find on street. Here at Ms Jang’s restaurant, there is no table available. The charm of this mandoo place is to eat at the vendor.


This restaurant was broadcast on the show for its famous seasoned fishcake 양념오뎅 with sprouts! While I was waiting for my turn, I saw people coming in for take-outs. If you live in the area, it is a great idea to have take-out. (Caution: the sauce and broth can be very spicy)
Another delicacy this place has is the handmade Mandoo! If you are a mandoo lover, you will love the mandoo stuffed with much vegetables, meat and potato noodle!

Junghwa Banjeon 중화반점


When you are in Korea, make sure you try Chinese food! Most of times, Chinese restaurants here serve Koreanized Chinese foods. Some menus are actually available in Korea only like the famous jjambbong! Yaki udon is also one of those menus. This stir-fried udon is originated in Daegu.
