Good Food, Good-hearted People, Seomun Market

In Monorail, subway 3, one of the stations that many people get off at is Seomun Market Station. Seomun Market, the largest traditional market in Daegu, was in the top 3 markets during the Joseon dynasty (the other two being Pyeongyang Market and Ganggyeong Market). It has over 5,500 stores and is most famous for its delicious and abundant food. Kalguksu, which tastes just like the good old Nureun guksu(pressed noodles) that people from Daegu enjoy from their childhood, is unrivaled.

Sites that you can see include: Gyesan Catholic Church (the first western building in Daegu), House of Yi Sang-Hwa (a national poet), House of Seo Sang-Don (leader of the National Debt Redemption movement), and Jeil Church, the very first Christian church in Gyeongsangbuk-do province.

Get lost in The Sesame Taste and The City of Romance, Anjirang Gopchang Alley (Small Intestines Alley)

Anjirang Gopchang Alley is where about 60 restaurants that serve small intestines are concentrated in. The tradition of Anjirang small intestine where the smell of sesame fills the whole alley was started by 'Chungbuk Small Intestines'. They have been on this business for 40 years now and are passing the tips to the others until the whole alley developed into the so-called Anjirang Pork Small Intestines Alley now. They sell dishes for only 12,000 won that’s why the number of people who wish to taste Beef Tripe never stops.

Music Becomes A Scenery, Kim Gwang-seok Street

A total of 27 artists participated and presented more than 40 pieces of art in the Kim Gwang-seok Street. Murals of the legendary Korean folk musician, Kim Gwang-seok and his beautiful lyrics fill the street. It is quite fun to take pictures in front of different murals that have their own distinct character. It is also very fun and appealing to try the food in our reminiscence like Bindaetteok, Teokboki, and Dalgona from Bangjeon Market.
