3 Best Autumn Foliage Spots in Korea
One
of things that people are waiting for in autumn is breathtaking foliage. Korea
is a perfect place to enjoy it since it has distinctive four seasons. A peak of
beautiful foliage does not last for long so we need to get ready ahead of time.
These are 3 best autumn foliage spots you need to make a note for! 2017 foliage
is supposed to start around Oct 16 and will reach the peak around Oct 29.
Palgong Mountain
If
you are staying in Korea for fall, Palgong Mountain is a must place to look at
picturesque scene. Lit with sunshine, orange, red, brown and yellow leaves
looks as if they just came out of a painting.
Its drive course is popular all year around especially during this time.
The highlight of the 11km-long drive starts from Sutaegol and ends at Pagae
Three-way Street. You will be able to park at parking lots sporadically located
along the way. Another secret is to take a ride to Mt. Palgong cable car and
see the scenic view from up above.

Daegu Arboretum
A
home to more than 60,000 trees, Daegu Arboretum is surely an excellent place to
appreciate fall foliage. A number of old
trees creates a forest-like scene with benches here and there to sit in the
middle of stunning red leaves. Spending an afternoon here chatting with your
loved one, you will be surprised to find it’s already time for sunset.

Hillcrest
If
you need more action along with looking at foliage, make a visit at Hillcrest.
Here, you can try zip line, DIY class or camping while enjoying a view of
fabulous autumn in the background. One of the most photogenic spots here is
“HongDanPung Gil”, a trail for red foliage. Make sure you stop by! At the end
of the trail is a hanok building, YunJaeHun.
